Martial Arts in Crestwood, KY: Quick Facts
Of The Void Martial Arts is a family-owned martial arts school in Crestwood, Kentucky, led by Sensei Charles Alston. We teach Pagoda Ryu Karate and Panantukan (Filipino boxing) to kids, teens, adults, and families. We also offer women's self-defense and the Dragon Academy after-school program. We're located in the Pleasant Colony Shopping Center and serve families across Oldham County, including Crestwood, La Grange, Prospect, Pewee Valley, and Goshen.
How old does my child need to be?
Toddlers Pagoda is for ages 2–5, and Kids Pagoda Class is for ages 5–12. We place five-year-olds in whichever class best fits their maturity and focus.
Do I need experience or to be in shape?
No. Every class is beginner-friendly, and students train at their own level from day one.
Is there a current promotion?
Yes! Our $30 Starter Pack is the best way to try us out — you get 3 classes plus your uniform. Classes must be used within 30 days of purchase.
What should I wear to my first class?
Comfortable athletic clothing is all you need.
Do you offer an after-school program?
Yes. Dragon Academy runs Monday–Friday, 2:30–6:00 PM, for ages 5–12, with space limited to 15 students.
What is Pagoda Ryu?
Pagoda Ryu is a traditional karate system focused on discipline, structure, and practical self-defense. We pair it with Panantukan, a Filipino boxing art built on close-range movement and real-world skill.
